The East Fork Faculty Spotlight provides an opportunity for the Faculty Advisor of the journal to shine a light on an extraordinary accomplishment of a UC student.

For this spring 2018 issue, Dr. Cassie Fetters, East Fork Faculty Advisor, is pleased to acknowledge and celebrate the work of UC Clermont art student, Hannah Lawson, and her work, entitled Trees. Hannah’s drawing will be published by Thames and Hudson in the accompanying sketchbook for the forthcoming book, Gateways to Drawing, by Stephen Gardner.

Trees is a mixed-media drawing combining fragmented photocopies of patterns, text and a photo along with graphite and charcoal. Whether drawing or painting, Hannah's art draws inspiration from nature, family and sense of place.
