East Fork:

A Journal of the Arts

Infusion of herbals, spice in the chai,
Warmth fills your body to your fingertips.
Floral aroma, delight in this high.
Inhale it deeply, and take a small sip.
Breath slow and easy induced by this drink.
Caffeine fills your being. Know a new sum.
Calming surroundings allow you to think.
The sudden calming is like being numb.
Deep even breathing, your day has begun.
Snuff out flames of encumbrance’s request.
Keep your cool; you can prove that you have won.
Another sip, and whiff, then you digress.
Reality beckons, return once more.
One daily dose of calm, retain rapport.

Daily Dose Of Calm
